all I know about him is he got 35 goals last season and Man United want him to stay but he thinks will get a better chance elsewhere

If he's a genuine wunderkind, I hope he signs. If he's another Ravel Morrison, I hope he goes off to disappoint someone else.

What about this Mipo Odubeko who I keep reading about, some Man Utd wonderkid that's turned down a deal with them. He signing for us?

Bit of a difference between division. 2 of the under 23 league which we are in after being relegated last Season and league one

Before people start to compare this performance with the Oxford performance a good comparison will be on the 8/10 when we play Cheltenham.
Much of the under 23 performances are down to the coaching of Halajko and Potts.
It was a very entertaining game today with the front 4 working great but with such an open game this side could quite easily be nullified with a team with more physical and taller players

"If we had played a solid back four against Oxford"

What like Zabaletta, Diop, Balbuana & Masuaku?

We lost 4-0 to Oxford With a solid/experienced back four. Why are people forgetting that?

Your right, but noen of the fringe players were motivated much to produce a performance.
I think if we had played a solid back four against Oxford then the attacking players such as Powell,Kemp,Holland and Scully could of all had minutes. They all know each other well and would definitely of tried harder.
Good to see Holland was not affected by the defeat.

Re: West Ham U23 v Sunderland U23
It is nice thought but when our u23s go up against actual sides from League 1 and 2 they don't have the greatest record.

Last year they went out of their CheckaTrade Trophy group without scoring a goal and conceding 8 in three games.

Though, they have managed a 5-4 win this year so maybe things are changing.

If I was grizzled journeyman professional I would try to give them a battering, probably.

I was thinking about using the U23's.

What you have to realise, the league cup.is also to keep fringe players motivated and fit as possible.

It's not just about resting players.

Was thinking they could have played the u23ā€™s with maybe Noble and an experienced centre back.
